Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh.
As a macroeconomist focused on growth and optimal policy, my research studies how policy should guide, and respond to, technological change. More broadly, I am interested in normative questions pertaining to long-term welfare.
My wife and I have taken the Giving What We Can Pledge to donate 10% of our consumption and estate to effective charities.
